Jewish Berlin: Destruction and Rebirth
Starting from: €12,00
Berlin's Jewry has a unique and special history, from the days of the Enlightenment movement, through the horrors of the Holocaust, up to the revival of the present day, as Berlin fosters one of the world's fastest-growing Jewish communities.
Mendelssohn and Einstein are just two examples of Berliner Jews who have been responsible for some of the most significant events in intellectual and cultural development, changing the way all of us - Jews and non-Jews alike - live and think. Yet their achievements came against a backdrop of anti-Semitic harassment and discrimination, which came to a head in the 20th century, with devastating effect.
