Visit Rostock on this wonderful guided tour

If you want to see a stunningly beautiful and fascinating alternative to Berlin on your upcoming cruise stop, you should visit the picturesque town of Rostock and the massive Schwerin Castle. The nine-hour long tour begins directly in Warnemunde, where professional tour guides will meet you at the cruise port. Enjoy a brief guided walk through the Warnemunde cruise port and surrounding area before being led to the main features of the trip. You’ll begin with a short ride to visit Rostock, another commute to Schwerin, where you’ll tour the local village and the imposing castle in the middle of the Schwerin See. Then you’ll visit Rostock for a few more hours, and finally return to Warnemunde. Visit Rostock to find a beautiful Hanseatic city of contradictions. Antique yet developed, small yet overachieving, with few buildings but many architecturally historical. Within the city, you will stop to explore the gorgeous Rathaus town hall, which mixes Gothic and Baroque styles. Step into the St. Marien Church and gaze up at the renowned astronomical clock. When you visit Rostock, your tour guide will make sure you see the absolute best of this city dating back to 1419.

Head to the Schwerin Castle on your shore excursions

In the middle of the day after you visit Rostock, head to Schwerin on the trains crossing the charming Mecklenburg countryside. Schwerin is home to some of Germany’s premier attractions and friendliest people. Get ready to take some pictures of the old town, cathedrals, the local markets, and much more. Your shore excursions to Schwerin include a visit to the villas of Pfaffenteich as well as a long tour of the majestic castle. Luscious palace gardens surround the thousand-year-old citadel. Perhaps you’ll even get to meet the spooky Petermännchen, Schwerin Castle’s resident ghost! Highlight your shore excursions with a medieval fairytale adventure now!

Get tickets for your next stop and visit Rostock and Schwerin

All meals on the tour are complimentary, and you will have plenty of time for dining and individual sightseeing or shopping at each stop. In addition, the guide will offer a short tour of the tourist port and fishing center Warnemuende to begin or conclude the tour.
